Private detective Cormoran Strike (Tom Burke) and his agency partner Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger) return to the screen for this four-part, prestigious drama series for the BBC and HBO. For the first time in the series, Strike and Robin take on a cold case involving the disappearance of Dr Margot Bamborough in the early 1970s.They come up against a fiendishly complex case with a psychopathic serial killer and witnesses who cannot all be trusted.They learn that even cases decades old can prove to be deadly.

The clear design challenge here was to produce authentic period sets (early 1970s) that would serve the numerous flashbacks that the story required.There were also a substantial number of key graphics, prop makes and other dressed locations that were needed and which would be integral to the success of this production.
