This six-part factual series produced by the BBC charting the development of atomic weapons included two episodes in the form of drama-documentaries. “Superspy” highlighted the espionage activities of Klaus Fuchs and his role in the Manhattan Project, whilst “Superbomb” concerned itself with the aftermath of the Second World War and the development of the Hydrogen Bomb.  Filmed in Arizona and the UK, these period productions incorporated a wide range of historical settings (both interior and exterior), which were challenging to reproduce but ultimately proved most successful.
